MYLead Curriculum

MYLead curriculum comprises of modules that are activity-based and highly interactive. Each module is intended to represent a workshop. MYLead curriculum is unique as it structures a youth leadership training programme that is intently global in outlook and perspectives but fundamentally local in values and identity. It also aims to provide invaluable experience that evokes participants’ fine senses such as:

Sense of self-worthiness
Sense of well-being
Sense of value
Sense of belonging
Sense of direction
Sense of duty
Sense of humour
Sense of wonder
Sense of responsibility
Sense of pride

MYLead curriculum also pays close attention to religious values and principles. It  caters to the various religious needs and tries to accommodate, as best as possible, participants’ respective religious requirements. In believing that religion is the epicenter of one’s life, MYLead curriculum also incorporates modules that will invoke youth’s appreciation and gratefulness for the Almighty.

All activities are designed to offer hands-on and practical activities that include role-plays, discussions, presentations and team challenges. The curriculum aims to ensure that participants are engaged, the content is relevant and that they would be able to put the skills learned into practice to improve their personal and collective performance.

In carrying out MYLead camp activities, participants will be introduced to journaling and debriefing. Both are important tasks that need to be performed to reflect on the activities carried out and what the participants have learnt through them. Whilst journaling helps students in self-reflection, debriefing gives the participants the opportunity to express their opinions and concerns or raise further questions in their respective group.
